Chamber Salutes B & F Plastics Team!
The Chamber of Commerce recently joined area businesses in congratulating B & F Plastics as they opened a new production line in a new facility at the North 8th Street site in Richmond.
Stemming the tide of a tough economy was the least of their challenges.
Young entrepreneur and company president Paul Bertsch had the vision and the plan to make this retention/expansion project a success. He worked diligently with his team at B & F Plastics and area businesses for approximately two years leading up to this opening.
Paul was tragically killed in an automobile accident weeks before the new facility and line would commence operations.
The Chamber was joined by Paul’s friends, family, business associates, community leaders, and company employees to cut a ribbon commemorating the finished project and also remember the young innovator behind the project.
Brad Smarrelli who erected the building was on hand as was Dan Stamper who handled the electrical work and more. Both referred to Bertsch as a man whose handshake could negate the need for a contract and keep things straightforward and on target at a time and in an era when business relationships are notoriously complex.
B & F Plastics provides products for area and national businesses but also has the benefit of long distance relationships in the global marketplace. They are looking to come out of this tough economy stronger and increase market share in the process….
